I found John Howards views on how Labor declined in popularity
(prior to their 2010 poll make-over /appointing Gillard) of particular interest.
John Howard believes Tony Abbott rose to the occasion this and challenged Labor on a number of key issues, of which resulted in Rudds/Labors overall decline in popularity.
Some argue Labors factions, their union power brokers, and/or even Gillard herself were responsible for Rudds eventual fall from grace, though readily forget how Tony Abbott managed to debunk quite a few Labor myths/lies , which otherwise may have remained unchallenged, had the public not demanded an explanation for Rudds overall process...particularly with respects to the $40 billion surplus they inherited from a more responsible Liberal government back in 2007, of which Labor have clearly squandered since then.
I think what voters need to ask themselves is whether or not they were better off, before or after Kevin07.
Because if they think a change in Party Leader will make any sort of difference to the overall dysfunction of this squandering inexperienced self-serving party, they really need to think things through again, given Gillard herself was at least half responsible for having blown the surplus irresponsibly, a fact that she herself cannot deny...and hasn't.
Should Libs win the next election, will Labor leave them with any sort of surplus?
Or like always, will Libs be left to resolve our nations debt?
And will Labor pay their debt back to the Australian people, before handing over their leadership?
The longer we leave it, (keep Labor in), the harder it will be to recover from their squandering, not something I am personally looking forward to.
Money wasting exercises such as Gillards hair dresser boyfriend becoming "Mens Health" ambassador over night, I mean, I might be wrong here, but wouldn't an individual with some sort of medical training/background have been more suited to this position?

A relative of mine manages a rather large organisation, this and mocks the positions created by her own organisations more senior management for their relatives, friends, so as to warrant the continuity of government funding.
In other words, they are budgeted to spend so much by the end of financial year, and if it's not spent, the government wont give them this same amount the following year, so suddenly, they will devise strategies to spend, spend, spend, "ethically"..and if this means treating staff to an all you can eat seafood buffet in New Zealand (training seminar apparently), or creating a position for someone's unemployed kid, friend or relative...ie, "Activities organiser"/"balloon inflater" lol.....then so be it.
They feel special, the organisations happy, irrespective of the funds being waisted.
.....Though I think in Julia Gillards case, it was a matter of quickly levitating her boyfriend from hairdresser status to something more respectable, (befitting of a PM's house husband) this and financially more advantageous also.
Does he cook and do the dusting also?
.......... Why am I having visions of a naked Mr Gillard wearing a Labor party campaign apron , just big enough to cover his noodle, vacuuming Julias carpets?
....And if he's responsible for her hair style, he should be sacked!
Have any of you noticed the Gillard look-alike hair-styles reaching plague proportions lately, a few days ago the woman next door (In her early 20's) got out of her car then waved to me, she must have just got back from the hairdressers I think.
Then when I went out this morning to do a little shopping, OMG...it was like several Julia Gillards all sitting in chairs up at the hairdressers.
Gillard a PM, or more of a passing trend/phase?
..
Lets hope so!
I couldn't bare it if my 13 year old daughter came back from my parents place with a hair style like this....aaarrrghh!
