OMG, my mother has been trying to convince me to let her buy me one for my birthday this year......DONT BOTHER...they are bloody hopeless!
They turn joints of meat into old boots, and the potatoes are far from crispy.
...As for baking a cake in one, I laughed at this when I saw the commercial, it looked like a pancake.
My mother has one, and I swear, she has no idea.... we went over there for dinner, and the roast was like a cross between being microwaved and broiled.
Yuck!
You try and tell her that though, I think it's more the novelty of having a new gadget to collect dust in their kitchen than it is anything else.
My mum buys any new product going....from exercise equipment to steam mops....I think she wants to woot the Demtel man.
