| Good question, I think it just monitors sites, collects boards stats, information....ie, alerts whoever executed it to certain key words, and or new threads without their having to register or be logged in. I think.... I might be wrong! | |

| It's probably just Yahoo sending their silent regards....letting me know they are watching me...lol ... So I don't misbehave too much. | |

| You're an idiot.
You need to have your computer smashed into little pieces and be banned from the Internet forever. |

| Thought for the day.
Maybe one day you might wake up and say to yourself: "I'm not going to act like a retarded idiot today, just for once".
But, I doubt it. |

Well that's subjective, and whilst you are entitled to your own opinion, tell me, why if I'm not annoying others here on my own boards, should I stop writing because you cant help but come here and gawk at my doodle pad? Hey...tell me who it is that's holding that gun to your head forcing you to read my boards content, and i'll personally deal with them myself....OK. You poor bugger... It must be awful. | |

| Yep, that's funny.
Nearly as funny as all the members of this forum being you and Green talking to yourselves. Losers. |

| And note that the bots are executed by someone,(aren't always automatic) I'm told people attach them to peoples boards they want to view, without viewing the board themselves as such. Though, I'm not 100% certain about this. | |

| Admittedly I created about 3 or 4 registered handles...though I don't believe greens is responsible for having created anymore than 1. So that's 24 - 5 = 19 Many of which like me are posting under unregistered handles also, because sometimes we forget to log in before writing a post, (this or it times out) so just post it as an unregistered handle. And anyway... if you weren't interested in my boards statistics yourself, why are you here questioning them? Is everyone having a nanna-nap on Yahsnooze at present? You aught to take their pulse, it's been a week and the vital signs aren't looking too crash hot. | |

| Ok, I have learned today that bots are good things, apparently people want them on their forums...they are for indexing purposes, so search engines can direct traffic to your site. Here I was complaining about them ...yet when I logged into admin and read a topic on my hosts support forums, I saw several other board owners complaining they had been waiting for months to get their bots, arguing they shouldn't have to upgrade their domain in order to get some....*cringe* so realising I was fussing over nothing I have come back to say....BOTS be they Yahoo or google are a GOOD thing. :)Shame on me for assuming otherwise...lol I had referred to a conversation I had with my son a few weeks back, concerning malicious spam bots and so forth, and how he appoints one (not a malicious one) to play his online games for him while he is away from his computer. He also mentioned there were malicious ones. Anyway, so long as they aren't spam-bots or malicious, (which the ones on my board aren't) given my boards security is excellent, ...then all is fine. We learn something every day. | |

| Basically, not all bots are malicious, like the ones my son described. | |
