Not sure about that... I was thinking more along the lines of it being paranoid and having something to hide actually.

Because for the life of me, I cant think of any other reason for why it would be envious of my mere pre-fab forum, (we aren't a large community here and hardly anyone knows about Ausatire)...when clearly, if mycoffeelounge.net is anything to go by it is more than capable of creating/hosting it's own board.

Honestly, I think it's paranoid more than envious, and believe this is it's motive for hounding quite a few of us here... like we care who it is...pmsl, ...

Well, this sums it up.... and you know, I cant blame Yahoo for not wanting to take responsibility for the crap they were carrying on with, too much of a liability.

Let them get their own site, all they were doing was using yahoo as a place to trawl for new custom anyway, ... this is why they would IM/email people privately (including myself) with invitations to new boards.

And for what it's worth, if they are being encouraged over to the NZ boards, then I doubt much will change in the way of their referring people to their grubby sites, the only difference will be , it wont be implicated in the Australian component of yahoos boards as such.

Not sure what the laws, re-stalking /proliferation of grubby links to kiddy-porn hosting sites are like in New Zealand, and or know how this will contain the situation adequately enough to observe those engaging in this behavior...or make any sort of meaningful difference. Yet to be seen!

Anyway, time will tell, it should never have got to this point.

Likewise with MCL, (mycoffeelounge.net) when I tried to tell people what was going over there too, but initially they insisted I was just being either dishonest or paranoid, well, this was until the site itself got caught hosting kiddy-porn by the ACMA...at which point people over there started to have second thoughts, this and question the sites admin.



I am not going to sit here and say I told them so, rather just want someone to have a little faith in what I do occasionally, I was right about MCL, right about Topix, right about YahooCL, and a number of other sites I have assisted with being scrutinised by the ACMA.
