Personal POETRY

Hmmm i must have done something wrong cayuse the post didn't appear lol. I shall try to recreate it haha
I once submitted the only poem I have ever writen (other than when at school and was forced lol) to a site called Passions in Poetry (still got the access code in my email ). Itsa site where you submit and others comment. while the comments were encouraged i just have never writen another poem.

VCM, see if you can click back through you browsers pages, you might be able to get it back that way. When it comes to writing my more serious stuff, I write it up then cut and past it to microsoft word or office and save it as a word document, so I have a back up just in case it goes missing in action. I have lost many a good posts like you describe above over the years, and it's such a pain in the ass.

Sorry to hear you lost your poem Mary, and if it happens again, please let me know as it might be a tech matter/glitch which requires dealing with at my end.

Nah.. lol I didn't lose the poem. I have it as a word doc and its on the site. I just lost the post I was writing that I replicated here. I think its to do with the dial up delays. I try to speed things up but delete when hitting the enter button too much lol

Perhaps the addys wrong, but I did attach http: to it...this and removed the spaces.


I also had trouble viewing it without a proxy..... so.. unsure why it wont work.

Yes it was the first and only (as I said except for a millon years ago at school under duress lol). THanks for your comments. The whole site is full of peoples poetry. ts wonderful reading. Haven't visited for an age tho. For me that one came out of a ned to speak what I felt woithout anyone I knew hearing... like talking to myself.

.... I love poetry, just have to be in the mood for writing it.
I have come up with a few reasonable ones but unfortunately, they are usually so personal that they cant be posted, would be like baring my soul.... *cringe*

Likewise with Eroticas well written piece, there are plenty of comps for all sorts of literature out there, just need to know when they are on, this and their closing dates.

For the course I'm doing, we were advised to purchase a copy of the "Australian writers market place 2009/10" and it's a brilliant resource. Details all the competitions, and a heap of other resources you wouldn't necessarily find on the net.
It cost about $50 at my local ABC shop.
