Eight new Hey Dad sexual abuse claims

Eight more people have come forward about the alleged sexual assault on the set of '80s Australian TV sitcom Hey Dad!

Since actress Sarah Monahan claimed that her on-screen father Robert Hughes molested her as a child, other cast members, crew and relatives of the actor have made formal statements for the police.

The Sunday Telegraph reports that a former guest actor, a wardrobe assistant, a relative of Hughes and several family friends are among the new witnesses.

Angela Keep, who replaced Monahan as Jenny Kelly on the show aged 12, has now announced that she will be telling her story to Woman's Day magazine.

She said: "This is a situation I never asked to be brought into, but I feel I have to have a voice. I thought it would go away. I just want to respect the agreement I have given to Woman's Day."

Since the claims surfaced two weeks ago, Hughes has denied all allegations.

It wasn't much of a debate over there on yahoo re- the Robert Hughes affair anyway, rather was going around in circles... so I was starting to get bored.

What was left to debate when it's a foregone conclusion Hughes is guilty? My god police even named their strike force after an impotent 19th century paedophile who became so infatuated with a 9 year old girl he used her as inspiration to write lolita, this and was so repulsed by his own wife's pubes that he left her shabby post pubescent carcass shortly after marriage.

My humour is warped, I found this amusing, sorry. re- strike force (John) Ruskin.


They are a miserable creed, so wretched and tormented by their own psych, they almost always end up dying alone.

It's nice having family and friends, ones which don't feel they need to file statements to the polices about your inappropriate, criminal behaviour.

Hughes will die a very lonely and tormented old man.....most of them do.

And it couldn't happen to a nicer bloke, hey dad?!

Perhaps he and Dennis Ferguson could hook up some time.

...Not that their executives are a pack of pedos or anything, this or condone, silence the sexual exploitation of children on their sets.

Those playground intimidation tactics might work on small children,(or a Hey Dad set) , so best to come back when you can get it up at least.
