Rudd announces new $53 million ANU China centre Empty
PostSubject: Rudd announces new $53 million ANU China centre   Rudd announces new $53 million ANU China centre Icon_minitimeThu 29 Apr 2010 - 17:16

KEVIN Rudd tonight announced the establishment of the Australian Centre on China in the World, costing an initial $53 million.

This will be built at the Australian National University, where he graduated with first-class honours in Chinese language and history.

The Prime Minister said the government would give this new centre - first revealed in The Australian four months ago - $35m as a foundation grant, and $18m for a new building.

Delivering the 70th George Ernest (Chinese) Morrison Lecture at the ANU, he said that the government aimed to make the centre "the pre-eminent global institution for the integrated understanding of contemporary China in all its dimensions".

"And for the study of contemporary China's regional and global engagement . . a hub for national and international scholars."

My children's high school could do with some staff, that and their halls roof requires mending.

But never mind, I'm sure an Australian Centre on China in the World, costing an initial $53 million will service them well, presuming they are able to get to university in one piece without their halls roof collapsing on their heads.

This is has gone past the point of ridiculous, what can the Australian public do to stop this maniac wasting any more money before he leaves?

He knows he's on his way out, this is why he's lashing out left right and centre before he leaves.

He's out of control, and what's Tony Abbot doing to challenge this irresponsible spending of Australian tax dollars?

Like many things Rudd does, this was discretely passed right under our very noses, ....apparently the story was in the Australian 4 months ago, what, did he put it through on Xmas day or something?

Rudd, year of the rat!

This Rudds idea of an education revolution?

You have got to be kidding me.

Heres what others are saying on a forum I stumbled across this morning when googling "Rudds ANU China centre"

http://www.stormfront.org/forum/t702542/

The above commentary aside, the general public just don't get it, few have heard of the term 'Lu Kewen', and or have any idea what he's doing under their very noses.

Somehow, this has to change.

Do Australians have any idea what they are really voting for?

It's almost like there's a select media underworld of Rudd disclosures being intentionally withheld, then released at a more convenient time by our mainstream media at Rudds discretion.

I think it's up to the federal opposition to challenge him on these matters, this opposed to attending marathons and various other sporting events flipping sausages over the family BBQ.

OK we get it, he's as fit as a fiddle...is a family man, and has Australia's best interests at heart, Yay Tony.......BUT....will it be enough?

Whats Rudd doing in the meantime, we need to kept up to speed as to what changes he's making, and what he's spending.

Rudd saw fit to scrap his childcare centre plans, clearly an ANU China centre for Chinese scholars is more important?

Tony really needs to start tackling the bigger issues now, unless he's hoarding them up for later use when he believes it will pack more of a punch?

What damage can Rudd do in just a few months?

Plenty!

We don't know half of it.... he's just so secretive.

I sincerely hope Tony has a plan, and that he hasn't been too busy attending to other things focusing too much on PR whilst Rudd has been discretely putting things into place preparing us for an eventual Chinese takeover.

Time to start assessing the damage bill, this and delve into every aspect of his political process throughout his entire term in office, ... (perhaps even before...his previous appointments non-government concern me) ... lets hope at least some of his own Labor party members have a back-bone and conscience... this and know what to do and say when the times right.

Tony Abbot needs to get savage, a John Howard kind of savage, ..he's too laid back and easy going at present.

Perhaps this is the calm before the campaign storm, I hope so, and certainly hope Abbot gets up and leads a powerful campaign, because he's our only hope.

He needs to get passionate, the meek and mild polite approach may have worked for Rudd, because people were looking for a direct contrast, the opposite to a more robust and verbose Howard, therefore Rudd was 'different', was refreshing (at first glance)...however now that Rudd has demonstrated himself to be a smug well mannered Chinaphile and snake, I think Australia would be happy to see a glimmer of the old assertive and robust Howard type character back.

The way Howard would berate and intimidate the opposition, make them all look like fumbling fools on their bench ....his confidence and strident (old liberal) larrikinism was what resonated with the Australian public, it showed them who was boss and that he was a man in control.

We want a powerful and assertive leader, one who wont take crap and will make the hard decisions without a quivering bottom lip.

Not a brute or a bully, but someone who will get the job done. Rudds always been out for himself, as though he has a cultural aversion to his own flesh, sees it/us as being beneath his expectations, ideals...in need of correcting.

His love affair with China is more than just a desire to be the first PM to have succeeded in building strong ties with a notoriously 'difficult' China, no, he's absolutely infatuated with their culture, their medicine, their language, their philosophy, their way of life, their people in general.. .... and has been for a very long time, since he was quite a young lad still in school.

Rudd is simply buying the minority vote, and as soon as he gets re-elected (which I doubt), he will wipe his ass with us all.

Tell me, how do Indigenous Australians and newly immigrated minorities feel about their PM's $53 million ANU Chinese Centre, which is pitched to exceed $100 million over a 10 year period by the time it's completed?

Ask yourselves, what do we need more than a $100 million ANU Chinese Centre?

This is your Rudds education revolution in a nut-shell.

It's all about Rudd.

Pauline predicted this happening decades ago, and she was right on the mark.

But noone would listen to her......she was branded a nasty racist and now look.

A few of you should read her maiden speech.

All Australians, black white, irrespective of racial background should be very concerned.

Rudd is playing your race-card back at you in reverse, in order to achieve a long term objective, clever hu!

Though I doubt he himself masterminded it, rather think the years he spent living in China and working as a Chinese correspondent might have something to do with it.

He's their mole.
