How may I hit back at a d-dosing twerp without harming their computer, this or getting into trouble.

I almost wished I were a hacker for a day, just to teach these brats attacking my sons computer a lesson.

I told my son to give it back to him, but he said no way mum, it's worth heaps...lets get a new IP instead... *head shakes*

It's the principle of the thing too... he won it fair and square so...can see why he's reluctant to give it back to a sore loser, I probably wouldn't either.

If the next IP gets d-dosed, then we will have to change ISP, this and acquire a dynamic IP if we can.

I told my son to use a VPN, but he claims it slows his game down too much.

Thing is, if he managed to d-dos us without damage to our computers and modem, then there must be a way of returning the favor....

..... I know I know, this isn't exactly responsible, but I really need to stop this kid knocking us back off line again when we are assigned our new IP...if possible.

Perhaps some preventative measures might be best.

Like something we can do to stop them hacking us....

Well, thanx... but no, I don't want to be seen encouraging my son to do anything illegal, as such......and it's not WOW thats the enemy here,(hacking them would be pointless) ...rather it's some snotty nosed geek who's lost his loot fair and square and now wants it back.

Well, I hope, if it is WOW staff, then we're in strife!

... when my son gets home, we'll be logging into it so we can send the screen saves to our ISP....they gave us a special email to send the screen saves of the modem logs to, and my son took it to school with him today.

For all I know, he may have even fixed it by himself.... he's a pretty clever kid!
